Gimonnet-Gonet L'Etonnant Blanc de Noirs Champagne NV 750ml

Product Info

Gimonnet-Gonet's L'Étonnant offers a captivating contrast to the house's Chardonnay-driven Champagnes, showcasing the richness, depth, and expressive character of Pinot Noir. This beautifully crafted Blanc de Noirs combines generosity and finesse, revealing a more vinous and textured side of Champagne while retaining the freshness and precision that define the estate's style.

The nose opens with inviting aromas of ripe red apple, pear, wild strawberry, and delicate citrus, accompanied by subtle notes of toasted brioche, almond, and warm pastry. On the palate, a fine, persistent mousse carries layers of orchard fruit, red berries, and gentle spice, balanced by lively acidity and an elegant mineral backbone.

The finish is long and expressive, with a pleasing combination of fruit richness, savory complexity, and refreshing vibrancy. Particularly versatile at the table, L'Étonnant pairs beautifully with roast poultry, mushroom dishes, charcuterie, and richer seafood preparations.

An engaging and characterful Blanc de Noirs that demonstrates the remarkable depth and versatility of Pinot Noir in Champagne.
