Sourced from a single parcel—Vauzelle Crohau—in the Grand Cru village of Aÿ, this cuvée offers a distinctive take on a site traditionally associated with Pinot Noir. Here, however, 100% Chardonnay is planted on chalk-rich soils with ideal southern exposure, yielding a wine that combines the power of Aÿ with remarkable finesse and mineral precision.

Winemaking & Technical Notes
Produced as part of the prestigious “Spécial Club” program, this is a vintage, single-parcel expression crafted only in top years. The wine undergoes extended lees aging of around six years or more, building depth and complexity, while an Extra Brut dosage keeps the profile dry and focused. The emphasis is on purity, precision, and terroir transparency, resulting in a structured yet elegant Champagne.

Tasting Notes
Bright and refined, the 2017 opens with aromas of candied citrus, white flowers, and fresh almond, layered with chalky minerality. With air, notes of hazelnut, brioche, and delicate honey emerge. The palate is precise and vibrant, with a fine, creamy mousse and a strong mineral backbone. Flavors of citrus, toasted almond, and subtle pastry lead into a long, clean, saline finish.
