  • Product Info

The 2025 Cantina Sant'Evasio Brachetto d'Acqui is a delightfully sprightly, sweet, and low-alcohol sparkling red wine from Italy's famous Piedmont region. Cultivated in classic limestone-marl vineyard soils, this estate-bottled frizzante acts as the vibrant red counterpart to a classic Moscato d'Asti. It delivers pure, nectar-like fruit wrapped in a playful effervescence that keeps the wine incredibly fun and accessible.
    Aroma and Bouquet

The nose is highly aromatic, fragrant, and burstingly fresh, showing classic varietal character:
    • Primary Fruit: Intense, perfume-like aromas of freshly picked wild strawberries, ripe red plums, and crushed raspberries.
    • Florals & Accents: Lifted by hints of sweet red rose petals, violets, and a subtle touch of lemon zest or sweet garden herbs.
    Palate and Texture

On the tongue, this wine is completely light-footed, emphasizing joyful sweetness balanced by crisp carbonation:
    • Flavors: Gliding layers of soft cherry fruit, juicy mixed field berries, and a subtle, pleasant bittersweet edge on the back palate.
    • Texture & Mousse: Soft, silky, and ticklish on the palate. The frizzante carbonation provides fine, gentle bubbles that create a light, mousse-like mouthfeel rather than an aggressive fizz.
    • Balance: While distinctly sweet, it finishes with a crisp line of refreshing acidity that cleanses the palate and keeps it from feeling sticky, heavy, or cloying.
    Technical Details

    • Composition: 100% Brachetto.
    • Winemaking: Crafted using a soft pressing of the grapes. The grape must is held at ice-cold temperatures (0°C) before undergoing a slow, controlled 30-day tank fermentation to naturally trap the delicate bubbles.
    • Alcohol Content: Approximately 5.5% to 6% ABV (making it exceptionally low-alcohol and highly crushable).
    • Farming: Sustainably farmed estate.
    Serving & Food Pairings

    • Serving Advice: Serve well-chilled between 6–8°C (43–46°F) in a flute or a small, delicate glass to preserve its fine mousse. It is built to be consumed young while its red fruit aromas are at their absolute peak.
    • Food Pairings: Outstanding alongside fruit-based desserts, such as a raspberry cheese tart, jam tarts, fresh fruit salads, or macerated strawberries. Surprisingly, it also serves as a fantastic, unconventional pairing for a casual slice of savory pizza or a plate of light cheeses.
