Étienne Calsac’s Les Rocheforts is a single-parcel Blanc de Blancs from the Premier Cru village of Bisseuil, produced entirely from Chardonnay grown on the vineyard’s distinctive chalk soils. One of Calsac’s most sought-after cuvées, it combines the precision and mineral drive of chalk-grown Chardonnay with a little more texture and depth than his introductory Champagnes.

This release is based on the 2024 vintage and was disgorged in June 2026. Les Rocheforts is vinified with indigenous yeasts and raised between stainless steel and barrel before extended aging on the lees. Bottled as Extra Brut, the low dosage keeps the wine focused and transparent to its chalky terroir.

Expect bright citrus and crisp orchard fruit alongside white flowers, subtle brioche and a pronounced chalky, saline character. The palate is energetic and finely structured, with Chardonnay purity at its core, a gently creamy texture through the mid-palate and a long, mineral-driven finish. A compelling grower Champagne for drinkers who enjoy precise, terroir-focused Blanc de Blancs, and a bottle that should gain additional complexity with time after disgorgement.
