From one of Spain's most exciting artisanal winemaking projects, Envínate's Albahra 2025 is a wonderfully expressive, terroir-driven red that combines Mediterranean character with remarkable freshness and finesse.

Founded by four friends who met while studying winemaking, Envínate has earned an international following for its minimal-intervention wines from distinctive Spanish vineyards. Albahra comes from the high-altitude vineyards around Almansa in southeastern Spain and is crafted primarily from Garnacha Tintorera (Alicante Bouschet), a deeply colored grape capable of producing wines of surprising elegance.

The 2025 vintage delivers vibrant aromas of wild cherries, ripe strawberries, pomegranate, violets, and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, juicy red fruit meets lively acidity, gentle tannins, and subtle savory spice. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts and aging in concrete help preserve the wine's purity, freshness, and distinctive mineral character.

Critic pedigree: The preceding 2024 vintage received 94 points from Luis Gutiérrez of Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, continuing Albahra's impressive record of critical acclaim. A professional score for the 2025 vintage has not yet been confirmed.
