    Terroir
Rooted in Piedmont’s Langhe region, this vermouth is built on a foundation far more akin to fine wine than a typical aromatized aperitif. At its core is a single-vineyard Barbaresco from the 2021 vintage, complemented by a portion of Roero Arneis—bringing both structure and aromatic lift. The identity is unmistakably regional, with botanicals and herbs sourced locally, reinforcing a strong sense of place and tradition.

    Winemaking & Technical Notes
“BB21” (Barbaresco Base 2021) is a limited-production, vintage vermouth crafted from high-quality wine rather than neutral base. Around 30 botanicals are cold-macerated for several weeks before being blended with the Barbaresco and Arneis, then rested in stainless steel. The philosophy is distinctly wine-first: the Nebbiolo structure remains central, with botanicals acting as a frame rather than the dominant element.

    Tasting Notes
Deep, complex, and highly vinous, this vermouth opens with aromas of orange peel, spice, ginger, and cinnamon, layered with subtle vanilla and herbal tones. The palate is strikingly wine-driven, showing red fruit, tannin, and persistent spice from the Barbaresco base. Notes of bitter orange, gentian, and delicate licorice emerge, leading to a long, harmonious finish that balances sweetness with refined bitterness.

    Food Pairing & Service
Far more than a mixing vermouth, “BB21” is best enjoyed on its own as an aperitif or digestif. Serve lightly chilled with a single ice cube to highlight its depth and aromatic complexity. It also pairs well with charcuterie, aged cheeses, and savory appetizers where its structure and herbal nuance can shine.

    Cellaring Potential
Unusual for vermouth, this wine-based expression has the structure to evolve over several years. While enjoyable upon release, it can develop additional integration and complexity with short- to mid-term aging, particularly when stored properly after opening.
