    The 2023 Domaine Rollin Père et Fils Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune Rouge is a highly energetic, pure expression of Pinot Noir sourced from roughly two hectares of 30-to-45-year-old vines spread across the high-elevation slopes of Pernand-Vergelesses and Échevronne. To highlight its primary fruit and vibrant altitude-driven character, the domaine limits its élevage to 10 months in a combination of two-thirds stainless steel and one-third older, neutral oak barrels before bottling it early.
    The warm 2023 vintage delivered a Pinot Noir that pairs lovely fruit concentration with a remarkably sleek, vertical texture.

    Aromatic Profile
    • Primary Fruit: A highly concentrated, expressive bouquet dominated by fresh red cherry, raspberry confit, pomegranate, and bright damson plum. 
    • Florals & Spice: Ebullient aromas of dried rose petals and violets weave together with an undercurrent of white pepper and sweet baking spice. 
    • Terroir Nuances: As it opens, subtle savory base notes emerge—hints of damp earth, forest floor, and wild bramble.
    Palate & Mouthfeel
    • Structure & Body: Medium-bodied and intensely focused. The fruit profile is distinctly crunchy and snappy rather than thick, juicy, or jammy. 
    • Acidity & Texture: Driven by a zippy, bright acidity typical of the cooler Hautes-Côtes hillsides, balancing the naturally ripe volume of the 2023 harvest. It possesses a soft, well-rounded texture on the mid-palate. 
    • Minerality: A persistent, chalky, and deep mineral streak runs through the core of the wine, keeping it anchored to its limestone origins. 
    Finish & Longevity
    • Finish: Dry, remarkably fresh, and exceptionally drinkable, ending with polished, silky tannins and lingering hints of bitter cherry and tart red berry skins.
    • Drinking Window: Very open and highly expressive in its youth; it is delicious to drink now but will easily cellar and gain nuance over the next 2 to 4 years.
