  • Product Info

The 2024 Domaine Morey-Coffinet Bourgogne Blanc (now designated under the stricter Bourgogne Côte d’Or label) is essentially a declassified, "mini-Chassagne-Montrachet". Sourced entirely from a 0.96-hectare footprint inside the commune boundaries of Chassagne, winemaker Thibault Morey treats this entry-level Chardonnay with the exact same biodynamic rigor as his top-tier Premier Crus.
The demanding, wet 2024 growing season was saved by a beautiful, sunny August and dry September. It produced whites with a rare, effortless, low-alcohol harmony (clocking in around 12.5% ABV) and excellent structural focus
    Tasting Profile
    • Appearance: A brilliant, clear mid-lemon yellow hue.
    • Aroma: Classy, highly expressive, and distinctively Chassagne in style. The nose freely reveals a striking mix of crisp green apple, lemon zest, white floral accents, and pear, grounded by a subtle signature note of petrol and wet stone.
    • Palate: Seamlessly balanced, medium-bodied, and unexpectedly deep. Fruit from the Santenay end of the village brings deep, fleshy clay-driven texture, while fruit from the Puligny end provides limestone-driven energy and cut. It yields a lively burst of citrus and orchard fruits layered with a soft touch of oak that adds richness without feeling heavy.
    • Finish: The palate culminates in a “racy, delicious and attractively textured” finish. It carries great persistence and a lightly austere, refreshing snap.
    Winemaking Details
    • The Blend: Drawn from three separate village plots below Chassagne planted in 1988, 2001, and 2012.

    • Cellar Work: Under certified organic and biodynamic practices, the wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation and is aged for 10 months in a mix of 228L and 350L oak barrels (only 25% new oak) before being bottled unfiltered.
    Serving & Pairing
    • Service: Ideal to drink from 2026 through 2028. Serve at roughly 10–12°C (50–54°F). Give it 15 minutes of air to shake off its youthful reduction and allow the white floral elements to open up.
    • Pairing: The wine's rich, buttery texture and crisp mineral drive pair perfectly with roasted chicken or turkey. It also pairs brilliantly with pan-seared fish in light cream sauces or creamy goat cheeses
