Domaine Follin-Arbelet's Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Les Fichots is a beautifully traditional expression of Pinot Noir from one of the Côte de Beaune's most distinctive and increasingly appreciated villages.

Les Fichots is a Premier Cru vineyard situated on the slopes of Pernand-Vergelesses, close to the celebrated Île des Vergelesses. The cooler position and limestone-rich soils of the appellation tend to produce Pinot Noir with freshness, perfume and mineral definition, offering a more restrained and elegant counterpoint to some of the richer reds found elsewhere around the hill of Corton.

The 2023 shows bright red cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry, joined by violet, subtle spice and an appealing savory, earthy character. The palate is energetic and finely structured, with fresh acidity and polished tannins framing the pure red fruit. With air, notes of dried herbs, forest floor and stony minerality add further complexity.
