The 2021 Celler Mas Doix 'Les Crestes' (750ml) is a highly expressive, lively, and modern red blend that serves as an accessible entry point to the prestigious DOQ Priorat region in Spain. Born from a cooler and wetter growing season that allowed the grapes to ripen slowly and develop excellent natural acidity, this 2021 vintage beautifully mirrors the classic slate-heavy character of its terroir while leaning into a vibrant, juicy, and almost Rhône-like elegance. 

• Fruit & Florals: Concentrated aromas of black cherry, purple plum, ripe strawberries, and blueberries, lifted by elegant hints of fresh violets.
• Spice & Savory: Nuances of dark mocha, clove, licorice, aniseed, and a striking, savory whiff of smoked bacon.
• Terroir & Herbs: Distinct undertones of warm slate rock, graphite, crushed stones, dry Mediterranean herbs, eucalyptus, and sage leaf.

• Flavors: Bright sour cherry, black raspberry, and forest berries backed by a hint of bitter cocoa and mineral dust.

• Composition: 80% Grenache (Garnacha), 10% Carignan (Cariñena), and 10% Syrah. 
• Vineyard Terroir: Sourced from steep, terraced hillside plots with native llicorella (slate) soils. Grapes are harvested from bush vines ranging from 10 to 25 years old for the Grenache and Syrah, while the Carignan component features ancient 80-year-old vines. 
• Winemaking: Hand-harvested with strict multi-stage sorting tables. The grapes are fully destemmed and fermented with gentle extraction in stainless steel tanks. 
• Aging: Aged for 4 to 6 months in a split system: 50% in used French oak barrels (2nd to 4th year), 25% in large oak vats, and 25% in neutral concrete tanks. 
• Production Standards: Crafted using certified organic viticulture and biodynamic practices, bottled completely unfiltered and unclarified.
