Cazé-Thibaut 'Les Leriens' Extra Brut 2021 represents a distinguished expression of artisanal Champagne craftsmanship, meticulously produced by esteemed grower-producer Fabien Cazé in the prestigious village of Châtillon-sur-Marne. This exceptional vintage showcases a harmoniously balanced co-fermented field blend comprising 45% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Meunier, and 10% Pinot Noir, sourced from east-facing vineyard parcels situated on the right bank of the Vallée de la Marne. The wine's character is defined by its terroir-driven complexity, revealing elegant mineral notes and vibrant acidity that speak to the sandy clay topsoil layered over limestone bedrock. Fermented with indigenous yeasts in a thoughtful combination of tank and barrel vessels of varying sizes, the wine underwent complete malolactic fermentation before spending an impressive 54 months aging sur lattes. This extended maturation period allows for profound development and refinement of flavor.
