    The 2016 Casanuova delle Cerbaie Brunello di Montalcino comes from one of the strongest modern vintages in Tuscany, combining the structure and longevity expected of Brunello with impressive freshness and balance.

    Produced entirely from Sangiovese, the wine shows classic Brunello character: ripe red cherry and wild berries layered with dried flowers, savory herbs, leather, tobacco and warm spice. 

    With time in the glass, more earthy and balsamic notes emerge, adding complexity without overwhelming the fruit. The palate is structured yet increasingly approachable, with fine, persistent tannins, bright acidity and a long, savory finish. The maturity of the 2016 vintage is beginning to show beautifully, bringing together Brunello’s youthful fruit and structure with the more complex tertiary character that develops with bottle age. 

    An excellent choice for traditional Tuscan dishes, roasted or braised meats and aged cheeses, but equally compelling for anyone looking for a mature Brunello from an outstanding vintage.
