    Terroir
Sourced from hillside vineyards in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, this Amarone reflects one of Italy's most historic and respected growing regions. Limestone-rich soils, favorable elevations, and a temperate climate allow the traditional varieties of Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella to ripen fully while retaining freshness. The combination of site and old-vine fruit provides the concentration and balance essential to great Amarone.

    Winemaking & Technical Notes
Produced using the traditional appassimento method, the grapes are carefully dried after harvest to concentrate flavors, sugars, and structure before fermentation. Ca' La Bionda follows a classic, restrained approach, emphasizing freshness, transparency, and balance rather than excessive richness. Extended aging in large oak casks allows the wine to develop complexity while preserving the character of both the fruit and the vineyard.

    Tasting Notes
Deep garnet with ruby highlights, the 2019 opens with aromas of black cherry, dried plum, blackberry, and dried fig layered with notes of baking spice, cocoa, tobacco, and dried herbs. The palate is full-bodied and richly textured, balancing concentrated dark fruit with vibrant acidity and refined tannins. Despite its depth, the wine remains poised and energetic, finishing long with lingering notes of dark fruit, spice, and a subtle mineral character.

    Food Pairing & Service
An outstanding companion to braised beef, venison, roasted lamb, aged Parmigiano Reggiano, and slow-cooked game dishes. It also pairs beautifully with mushroom-based preparations and other rich Northern Italian cuisine. Decant for at least an hour before serving and enjoy slightly below room temperature.

    Cellaring Potential
Built for extended aging, the 2019 will continue to evolve gracefully over the next

    Cellaring Potential
Built for extended aging, the 2019 will continue to evolve gracefully over the next 20–30 years. With time, its youthful fruit will develop increasingly complex notes of leather, dried flowers, balsamic herbs, tobacco, and earthy spice while maintaining the balance and elegance that define traditional Amarone.
