The 2020 Podere Le Ripi 'Cielo d'Ulisse' is a vibrant, biodynamic Brunello di Montalcino. It is made entirely from Sangiovese grapes. It comes from cool, western vineyards near the village of Montalcino in Tuscany, Italy. The wine features bright cherry and wild berry flavors layered with fresh earth, herbs, and a smooth, silky finish.

Color: A bright, jewel-toned ruby red.
Aroma: Bright cherries, blood orange, wild herbs, and hints of fresh earth and flowers.
Palate: Medium-bodied and fresh. It features juicy red fruit balanced by fine, soft tannins (a drying, fuzzy feeling in the mouth) and a salty, earthy finish.
Location: The vines grow in the Galampio vineyard on the western slopes of Montalcino. This area is cooled by ocean breezes and nearby forests.
Aging: The wine ages for about three years in large, used wooden barrels called Slavonian oak. This softens the wine without making it taste like heavy wood.
