The 2014 Delamotte Blanc de Blancs Vintage Brut is a 100% Chardonnay Champagne sourced from six Grand Cru villages in the Côte des Blancs. Disgorged with a dosage of 6.5-7 g/L, it pours a pale gold with emerald highlights. The wine balances bright citrus, orchard fruit, and chalky minerality.
Tasting Profile: The wine opens with aromas of lemon confit, crisp green apple, fresh brioche, and wet stone. The palate is medium to full-bodied with a silky mousse, juicy starfruit, and subtle white pepper or flint on the finish.
Winemaking: Unlike its sister house, Salon, which undergoes no malolactic fermentation, Delamotte allows 100% malolactic fermentation, offering a more generous and rounded mid-palate while preserving the vintage's signature energy.
Finish: Long, vivid, and dry with an elegant chalky character that lingers pleasantly on the finish.
