Domaine Leflaive Mâcon-Verzé is a highly acclaimed, biodynamic Chardonnay from the Mâconnais region in southern Burgundy. Sourced from estate-owned vineyards in the Verzé valley, this wine is celebrated for its exceptional purity, bright fruit, and distinct minerality. It offers a more approachable, vibrant, and fruit-forward expression than Leflaive's flagship Puligny-Montrachet. 

Aroma & Palate: Crisp and lively, the wine bursts with notes of peach, green apple, and bright citrus (lemon and grapefruit), complemented by white floral nuances and gunflint minerality. 

Texture & Finish: It is beautifully balanced, creamy, and harmonious in the mouth, featuring a bright, vibrant acidity with a salty, lingering mineral tang on the finish. 

Terroir: The vineyards feature shallow clay-limestone soils over bedrock, sitting on gentle to steep slopes with south-east and south-west exposures. Vines range in age, with some parcels planted as far back as 1935. 

Aging: The wine typically spends 10 months on its lees in fermentation vessels, followed by an additional 6 months resting in stainless steel tanks before finally being bottled. [1]
