The Minière F&R Les Moineaux Blanc de Blancs 2016 750ml stands as a testament to the artistry of small-batch, grower Champagne production. Hailing from the prestigious village of Hermonville in the heart of France's northern Champagne region, this distinguished vintage cuvée represents the pinnacle of traditional winemaking craftsmanship. Composed entirely of Chardonnay from venerable old vines, this elegant expression showcases the profound complexity that emerges when fruit of exceptional character meets meticulous cellar work. The wine undergoes oak vinification, a technique that imparts subtle richness and textural depth, while extended aging on the lees develops the nuanced minerality and brioche-like complexity that define truly exceptional Champagne. Every bottle captures the essence of its singular terroir, revealing layers of citrus, stone fruit, and delicate floral notes with a refined, persistent finish. This is Champagne for the discerning palate—a wine that rewards contemplation and celebrates the philosophy that great sparkling wine begins in the vineyard and is perfected through patience and tradition.

Source Parcel: Sourced exclusively from the Les Moineaux single plot located in Hermonville.
Vine Age: Old vines averaging over 40 to 50 years of age, providing deep root systems and low yields of concentrated fruit.
Soil Type: Sandy soils layered over rich limestone and chalk matrices, lending high tension and distinct minerality.

    Grape Variety: 100% Chardonnay.

Vinification: Fermented and aged in traditional oak barrels (fûts) with oak influence shaping the structure.

Malolactic Fermentation: Typically blocked or partial to preserve high, vibrant natural acidity.

Lees Aging: Aged for a minimum of 5 years on the lees in bottle before disgorgement to build rich texture and complexity.

Dosage Style: Extra Brut / very low dosage profile, highlighting extreme purity and dry structure.

Aroma: An expressive nose featuring bright lemon zest, crisp green apple, and tart citrus, layered with subtle woody spices, flinty chalk, and toasted brioche.
Palate: Bone-dry, lean, and tart with intense, driving acidity. The oak aging rounds out the edges to offer a structured, medium-to-full-bodied feel balancing rich chalky texture with citrus pith and lemon sherbet.
Finish: Long, razor-sharp, and searingly mineral with persistent dry chalkiness.
