Product Info
Terroir
Produced in Italy, this vermouth begins with a quality base wine sourced from carefully selected vineyards. The Mediterranean climate and diverse soils contribute to a wine with structure and balance, forming the ideal canvas for the infusion of botanicals. The botanicals themselves are sourced globally, reflecting a fusion of traditional Italian heritage with an international perspective.
Winemaking & Technical Notes
Mancino Rosso Amaranto is crafted from a base of Trebbiano wine, which is infused with a complex blend of over 30 botanicals. These include wormwood (the defining ingredient of vermouth), alongside spices, herbs, citrus peels, and floral elements. The infusion process is carefully managed to achieve harmony and depth, followed by fortification with neutral spirit and a measured addition of sugar to create balance. The result is a vermouth with richness, aromatic complexity, and a smooth, integrated profile.
Tasting Notes
Deep amber-red in color, the Rosso Amaranto opens with an inviting bouquet of dried orange peel, vanilla, and warm spices, layered with notes of cherry, cocoa, and herbal undertones. On the palate, it is silky and well-balanced, with a harmonious interplay of sweetness and bitterness. Flavors of caramelized fruit, baking spice, and subtle botanicals lead to a long, smooth finish with a pleasantly bittersweet edge.
