Terroir
Sourced from the historic Montefico cru in Barbaresco, this Riserva comes from one of the appellation’s most revered vineyard sites. Located just east of the village of Barbaresco, Montefico is known for its calcareous marl soils and favorable southwest exposure, producing Nebbiolo of exceptional structure, depth, and longevity. Compared with some of the softer, more approachable crus of the region, Montefico is often celebrated for its firm backbone, mineral character, and ability to age gracefully for decades.
