Terroir
Sourced from Front Porch Farm in the Russian River Valley, this Rhône-inspired white blend reflects the unique conditions that make this corner of Sonoma County so distinctive. Cooling fog and maritime influences from the Pacific Ocean moderate the warm California sunshine, allowing the fruit to ripen fully while retaining freshness and aromatic lift. The region’s well-drained soils and long growing season produce whites with both richness and energy. The 2024 vintage is composed of 70% Viognier and 30% Grenache Blanc.
Winemaking & Technical Notes
Named after the Irish word for “welcome,” Fáilte is crafted as a vibrant yet textured white blend that highlights the strengths of both varieties. Viognier contributes floral aromatics and stone fruit character, while Grenache Blanc provides freshness, citrus notes, and structure. The wine is aged in a combination of stainless steel and neutral oak, preserving purity while building texture and complexity.
Tasting Notes
Pale gold in the glass, the 2024 opens with expressive aromas of white flowers, citrus blossom, peach, apricot, and ripe stone fruit. The palate is crisp yet layered, offering notes of Meyer lemon, pear, white peach, and subtle honeysuckle supported by a textured, mouth-filling character. Despite its generosity, the wine remains bright and energetic, finishing with refreshing acidity and lingering floral and citrus notes.
Food Pairing & Service
A versatile white with both freshness and texture, Fáilte pairs beautifully with burrata, grilled seafood, ceviche, shellfish, roast chicken, and Mediterranean-inspired dishes. Its balance of richness and acidity also makes it an excellent match for grilled vegetables and salads. Serve well chilled to highlight its aromatic complexity and vibrant character.
Cellaring Potential
While designed to be enjoyed for its youthful freshness and aromatic appeal, the 2024 has enough texture and balance to develop additional complexity over the next 3–5 years. Expect its floral and stone-fruit character to evolve toward richer honeyed and savory notes with short-term cellaring.
