    Conterno Fantino Barolo Chinato NV is a highly complex, artisanal digestif crafted from a 100% Nebbiolo Barolo base infused with an alcohol-based maceration of over 50 secret herbs, flowers, and spices.

    Tasting Notes
    • Appearance: Brick red with brilliant garnet highlights.
    • Aroma: Intense and multi-layered. It exudes a complex bouquet of citrus peel (orange and bergamot), quinine (cinchona bark), and wild mountain herbs. These medicinal notes are underscored by dried rose petals, dark cherry, and a warm backdrop of baking spices like cinnamon and clove. 
    • Palate: A powerful explosion of contrasting flavors. It opens with an initial wave of rich sweetness, roasted fruits, and bittersweet dark chocolate. The unctuous mouthfeel is tightly framed by velvety tannins and the vibrant, underlying acidity of the classic Nebbiolo grape.
    • Finish: Exceptionally long, warming, and persistent. The sweetness gives way to a clean, structural, and pleasantly bitter herbal aftertaste. 
    Production & Serving Details
    • The Recipe: The base wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in French oak. Following the botanic infusion, sugar and pure alcohol are added to fortify the liquid. 
    • Serving Advice: It is an ideal digestivo served at room temperature or slightly chilled after a meal. It pairs beautifully with dark chocolate pralines or can be enjoyed on its own as a meditative slow-sipper
