  • Product Info

From brothers Héctor and Pablo Durigutti, Aguijón de Abeja Obrera Cabernet Franc comes from the high-altitude vineyards of Pedernal Valley in San Juan, one of Argentina’s most exciting regions for the variety.

The 2024 is fresh, savory and wonderfully expressive, showing juicy blue and red fruit alongside dried herbs, spice and subtle earthy notes. Medium-bodied on the palate, with ripe, finely textured tannins and excellent freshness, it has the varietal character Cabernet Franc lovers look for without becoming overly green or heavy.

There’s plenty of fruit here, but also enough herbal and savory complexity to make this considerably more interesting than its price might suggest.

    91 points — James Suckling

A terrific value in Argentine Cabernet Franc and an easy bottle to enjoy now, particularly with grilled meats, roast chicken, mushrooms or simply on its own.

Grapes: 100% organically grown and vegan Cabernet Franc from traditional trellised vineyards in the high-altitude Pedernal Valley.
