The 2022 combines ripe dark cherry, raspberry and spiced plum with subtle notes of earth, bramble and minerality. The palate is concentrated yet wonderfully energetic, framed by fine-grained tannins and fresh acidity, with an earthy, savory character emerging through the long finish.

Pillot ferments the wine with 100% whole clusters, adding aromatic complexity and structure, while the élevage avoids new oak, allowing the old-vine fruit and character of Chassagne to remain firmly in the foreground.

Jasper Morris: 91 Points

The generous fruit of the excellent 2022 vintage makes this approachable relatively young, but there is ample structure for further development in bottle. A terrific introduction to red Chassagne-Montrachet — and a particularly compelling value for old-vine Côte de Beaune Pinot Noir.

100% Pinot Noir | Old Vines | 100% Whole Cluster | Chassagne-Montrachet, Burgundy

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0708/8635/9236/files/DomaineJean-MarcPillotChassagne-MontrachetMesVieillesVignesRouge2022750ml.jpg?v=1790360449
https://www.prismfinewine.com/products/domaine-jean-marc-pillot-chassagne-montrachet-mes-vieilles-vignes-rouge-2022-750ml
